What a gorgeous and refined grown up bathroom. I love these mirrors and the fireplace! It’s rustic but classic. Sink fittings are by Dornbracht, and the sheepskin rugs are by Hide House
On my checklist, a chalkboard-paint-coated kitchen door! What an awesome idea for little kids. Thermador appliances.

I am totally in love with this kitchen. Island and cabinetry are wenge and the countertops are absolute black granite; the sink fittings are by KWC. Gorgeous and sexy!

Just beautiful. This dining table is to die for! The top is one piece of slate. Stone, plaster and anigre wood, simple and effective. The small black stools are designed by Charlotte Perriand. Drapery fabric is Rogers & Goffigon.
Anigre wood floating staircase.
Restful color palate. Finn Juhl Pelican chairs, a Poul Kjaerholm daybed and Alvar Aalto table and wing chair. Look at that baseboard detail! The rugs feel like lily pads among the sea of light grey stone.
Andy Warhol’s Shadows series rests on a Jean Prouvé console.
The illustrious egg chair by Arne Jacobsen.
Blackened steel surrounds the fireplace.
Pendant lamps by Poul Henningsen hang over the kitchen table. Viking range and hood.

I am hanging out right now in my hotel in Milan while it is pouring rain! I can totally imagine myself in this apartment weathering the rain and reading a fabulous book…can you?
Interesting mix or art and a few vintage pieces. The idea of these floor to ceiling built-in’s is so great for storage, but also creates an interested rhythm on the wall.
A perfect place for a cup of tea or to write a letter.
Cosy knits and what an awesome orange jack door stop!
Small space but full of style.
Now this is where my feet will be kicked up reading a great book with the fire on, of course.

Just perfect mix of modern and vintage. Love the soft curves of the Bloomy armchairs by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso paired with the Jean Prouvé coffee table. Photographs are by Vik Muniz and the floor lamps are 1967 designs by Angelo Mangiarotti.
A Jean Prouvé bench adds warmth to this all white kitchen.
Hans J. Wegner lounge chair. A gouache by Sol LeWitt hangs above a headboard upholstered in wool. The lamps are by Ross Lovegrove, and the tactile vintage bedspread is by Paco Rabanne.

What is up with this month’s Architectural Digest?….It’s really good! My fav spread is the Steven Volpe Bay area home. It’s filled with exquisite artful pieces and intriguing color palates.
This is so incredibly beautiful with the velvety chocolate browns, the unexpected pops of red lacquer and the minimal graphic rug. The 1940s French chairs are by Marc du Plantier, a black marble mantel by Axel Vervoordt. The fab twin floor lamps are Gino Sarfatti. Pool table by Blatt Billiards.
This is so incredible. The rustic distressed wood floors, the dark dramatic drapes anchored on the Zaha Hadid Dune table. Chandelier by Jeff Zimmerman, an impossibly great artist.
BDDW stools! Bleached walnut wood, lacquer cabinets, La Cornue range.
Vintage pendant lamps from Wyeth. Love this double window treatment with the warm woven shades.
Gorgeous color palate, soft and calm with a hint of femininity.
Fire screen by Christophe Côme. Love the slight textural interest on the sofa pillows. Cocktail table by Juan Garrido.
I am dying for these sconces…more sculpture than light. By Fontana Arte. MEM dornbracht faucets.

It’s hump day! Something special for you today from Workshop for Architecture.
My perfect mix of materials, calacatta marble, light white oak, and a little bit of dark woods.
Great details here. TV inset and flush with the wall.
Looks like an Alexander Calder mobile.
Oh oh oh! Just beautiful! Serge Mouille table lamps, Bddw cabinets.
Linear light with a hidden source.
Some more Serge Mouille. I also see the top of a walnut cherner armchair. Love the dark grey drapes with the mix of woods and black lighting.

These William Katavolos T chairs are a major favorite.
A perfect little corner with a Nanna Ditzel lounge chair and artfully arranged frames.
Simple and light.
A peek into the bedroom.
I am going crazy for this polished brass pendant lamp by Paavo Tynell! It is spectacular against the wood wall.
